One user of jComply has extended the use of the application from general Policies and Procedure management to include the development and usage of job descriptions.

Using the inbuilt word processor, a senior manager includes various colleagues into the workflow area to assist in the compilation of a job. This includes members from HR, Legal, Operations, and Trade Union to ensure the developed job description meets internal and external requirements.

Included in supporting documents, stored in the document management department are Occupational Standards that have been used to support the earlier development of the job descriptions and now, form the basis of individuals working toward NVQ's to support them in completing their portfolios of evidence.

The evidence of each user can also be scanned and stored into the document management area.

The Occupational Standards are stored and viewable to each user through a standard web browser at any time which enables such a user to plan actions based on best practice as described in the Occupational Standards.
