As a basic viewing mechanism, any mobile device that has IE or a web browser could log into jComply and view stored policies and procedures that the user had security permission to view.
The user would have view only access to such documents and depending on the hardware device could view policies and procedures on the devices screen and whilst connected to the internet.
The only limitations to this are clearly internet connectivity from the device and the restrictions of the screen of the device being used.
With the addition of jComply mobile module the user can use purposely designed application either on or off line to complete actions whilst in the field.
Examples:
- A company providing Health and Safety audits to an organisation with dispersed sites uses mobile devices with version controlled e-forms to carry out on site H&S audits. During the audit, should items need urgent action, including ordering of replacement items, these actions can be recorded and transmitted in real time.
Should the device be out of an internet connectivity area, the information is stored on the device and once the device gets an internet signal, transmits the information back to Head Quarters and into jComply to record the process.
-
An organisation providing service and support to office equipment provide their engineers with mobile devices which outline a check list for each listed piece of equipment on client site. The equipment can be tested against stored bar codes of listed inventory and can also be used to order replacement components if required.
The device relies on internet connectivity to allow for such transaction to be carried out in real time, should no such connectivity exist, the information is stored on the device and then released as soon as the engineer is back within a signal.
Policy documents, procedures, diagrams and check lists are stored within jComply and are all version controlled, each activity is time and date stamped to provide a full and true audit trail of activity which can be used to report on such actions.
-
A contract catering company now provides the unit managers with mobile devices which allow them to carry out Health and Safety checks on hot and cold storage equipment and report back to HQ in real time.
Information can then be reported back to the company's client and actions agreed in minutes or hours rather than days.
In addition, jComply provides the dispersed management team with an ideal web based company Policy and Procedures management tool.
